I recently met with Cancer Research UK and heard all about their campaign to end cancers caused by smoking. If trends continue, smoking will cause 300,000 cancer cases in the UK in this parliamentary term.
Evidence shows that smoking rates go down with government action and it’s thanks to this that smoke-filled pubs and workplaces, tobacco advertising and branded packs are consigned to history.
I will also be raising questions in Parliament on radiology and radiotherapy.
